WE THE PEOPLE came from, somewhere else.
To a land of hope, and promise.
Though some called us troublemakers, and criminals.
Were there seeking happiness, not, to harm.

Never considered we might not, be welcomed.
It was a great land, of opportunity.
We were willing to take, the chance.
Even if some of natives, not friendly.

Felt the farther from home, be safer.
Still celebrated, to this day, our arrival.
Gathering of family and friends, with joy.
It is true we made, big mistakes.

Many different cultures did clash, took time.
Through our diversity did grow, and prosper.
Became great nation with representation, for all.
Now want to take all, that away?

Close all our borders as, did before.
Sending most back to suffering, and death.
It is nothing to be, proud of.
“Nationalists” say none of, our business?

That’s like ignoring a neighbor’s house, on fire.
Stating not on your property, their problem.
We are all human beings, it matters.
So it does concern us, it better!

Cruelty to people or animals, reveals much.
A big character flaw indicating, is psychotic.
Are becoming like the terrorist, afraid of.
Following president like the “walking, dead zombies”.

Wake up! Wake up! before, too late.
Not the time to stay, in bed.
Get out there and vote, right now!
Where goes from here depends, on us!
