THANKSGIVING is, giving thanks daily. 

As nation, includes bordering countries. 

Those seeking, asylum from cruelty. 

Just as, the pilgrims did. 

Imagine today, if hadn’t happened. 

A caravan, crossing the ocean. 

Seeking freedom, place to live. 

Met by, guards and militia. 

President claims, we are better. 

Than those, coming our way. 

Yet didn’t, we do harm?

Some malicious, most by accident?

Thankful for, goodness of mankind. 

That evil, hasn’t overcome us. 

Praying keep, balance of power. 

That our, democracy holds firm. 

It’s being, tested right now. 

The president, fighting with neighbors. 

Building wall, keep immigrants out. 

Doesn’t want, freedom of religion. 

And definitely, not of race. 

Wants to, pick and choose. 

Who he, will let in. 

Likes Norway, other white nations.
