ROGUES rarely unknowns, often infamous. 

By their nature, love attention. 

Those in power, often use. 

For a coverup, easy excuse. 

Claiming “Against your, wishes” did. 

Will definitely punish, later replace. 

Allows others accept, without objection. 

When all along, silently support. 

Objective parties want, thorough investigation. 

Not led by, those involved. 

Who have stake, in findings. 

Covering up as, they proceed. 

Whatever happened to, human rights?

To freedom of, the press?

For our nation, and U.N.?

To protect world, international laws?

The world is, in crisis. 

Increased natural disasters, climate change. 

The rise in, childhood diseases. 

No longer giving, refuge status. 

Back in time, we’re going. 

Doomed to do, over again?

Try get right, this time?

How many chances, do get?

In politics winner, promises change. 

Happens over and, over again. 

Fortunately able to, stay democratic. 

This time that’s, not happening. 

This leader likes, the dictators. 

Majority of Congress, going along. 

The Supreme Court, now compromised. 

People getting out, of hand. 

Militias and vigilantes, are forming. 

Racism is growing, acted out. 

Walls build to, keep out. 

And also to, keep in?

If we don’t, ask questions. 

If we don’t, get answers. 

Change we got, not wanted.  

Hoping that others, feel same. 

If we don’t, take action.  

May not get, another chance. 

Get out there, and vote! 

That is the, American way!
