PARTISANSHIPS have taken, wrong turn. 

Commander-in-Chief, directed by. 

Who has triggered, bad traits. 

Pitting one against, the other. 

All three parties are, his pawns. 

Belongs to one, not really. 

Just easiest way, to influence. 

In reality only, represents himself. 

Tells them what, to do. 

They’re echoes of, his voice. 

Otherwise he kicks, them out. 

Once praise given, spits on. 

He is the, great manipulator. 

Knows how pull, their strings. 

Effortlessly gives me them, some bling. 

Pats them on, the head. 

After time becomes, more blatant. 

Even when community, facing disaster. 

Viciously presses home, his point.  

So needs to, draw blood. 

Supporters jump on, his wagon. 

As those hurt, not them. 

Run for cover, if changes. 

Now willing speak, against him. 

Just as fickle, as him. 

It’s all about, self interest. 

Not what’s best, for country. 

Everyone has a, political agenda. 

Let’s get back, to democracy. 

“All for one”, one nation. 

“One for all”, like musketeers. 

As we have, same foe. 

Let’s stop fighting, each other. 

Work again with, mutual goal. 

Neighbor and friend, become again. 

Asking too much, shouldn’t be. 

Come back together, and celebrate. 

Able to accomplish, much more. 

Part of team, once again. 

Each playing well, their position. 

Let us toss, the ball. 

Score a touchdown, extra point. 

Then bring in, the defense. 

So “the enemy, doesn’t score. 

That means we, stick together. 

Then make adjustments, as needed. 

On each other, can rely. 

Make up for, the differences. 

If not will, be catastrophic. 

The signs now, are there. 

Do not ignore, time limited.
