TECHNOLOGY racing ahead of us,

trapped in it’s tail. 

Quite a sight to see,

but got too close. 

Humanity’s morality burnt in process,

unable to keep up. 

Has led to world in chaos,

ready to destroy itself. 

History about to repeat again,

if don’t slow down. 

Some of us have been,

through all this before. 

World War II on brink,

of becoming number III. 

We can’t let this be,

time to take action. 

Continuing to chose arms race,

getting hot once again. 

Man competing against each other,

proving “his” is bigger. 

Essential bring in another perspective,

stop playing war games. 

Use advances, clean up planet,

help world join hands. 

Means put down the toys,

go back to school. 

Engage in creative resourceful thinking,

share with each other. 

Use this time and money,

toward growth not destruction. 

Let us stand in harmony,

believe it is possible. 

The world has become stale,

bring in the young. 

Full of hope and desire,

to try new things. 

Learn from world around us,

genetic diversity a positive. 

What appears to be “mutation”,

is actually nature’s “solution”. 

Let us not become machines,

controlled by pushing “buttons”. 

We are not in factory,

producing clone after clone. 

We are not in marketing,

selling the newest gadget. 

Not in financing doing whatever,

to make numbers work. 

Not a new business plan,

board or stockholder’s meeting. 

Instead, Research Department studying cancer,

that infects society today. 

Just to name a few,

pride, bigotry, callousness, superiority.

Out there is a cure,

if look for it. 

That doesn’t take a genius,

but concern for all. 

Begin, replacing hatred with love,

creating a solid foundation. 

We’ve heard this all before,

time put in practice. 

A better world out there,

let’s pull it in!
