INNOCENT put to test,

by those who fear justice. 

Turning the table on,

those having done nothing wrong. 

Held up as distraction,

to help hide another’s actions. 

Behaviors and words that,

implode within those of likemindedness. 

Diversity seen as crime,

guilty because of skin color. 

Out with the poor.

do not want them anymore. 

Forget about our morality,

bring on callousness and rejection. 

Disregard purity of heart,

time to rewrite the constitution. 

By their own actions,

government apparently supports this premise. 

Partisan representation now rules,

whatever it takes to win. 

Redefined the #metoo movement,

all about “me” not “you”. 

No longer United “we”,

national cry “best for me!”

Now innocent new guilty,

to be silenced and punished. 

Evidence held against them,

caring and equality for all. 

Pleading guilty as charged,

USA patriot as declared 1776. 

No longer an empire,

with royalty of a family. 

Time to go back,

to freedom from tyranny and exclusivity. 

Where the innocent protected,

guilt based on factual evidence.
