WONDER if be, free again. 

To pursue happiness, without misgiving. 

When those “ruling”, represent majority. 

Stop the infighting, and unite. 

Seems obvious thing, to do. 

Yet they are, unable to. 

Why is that, happening now (?)

“Age of Enlightenment”, been delayed (?)

Traveling back to, “Dark Ages”. 

Is that what, really want (?)

Once proud nation, of immigrants. 

Test of “purity”, not required. 

Let’s get back, to diversity. 

Trust the process, once again. 

Let it run, without interference. 

Or handle like, a business. 

Remove personal biases, work together. 

Mind open to, new perspectives. 

This beautiful world, isn’t flat. 

Bet you didn’t, know that. 

Rub sticks together, get fire. 

Who discovered that, not you. 

You are not, all alone. 

Isn’t that great, to know. 

Not on a, deserted island. 

Nor in a, plastic bubble. 

What you do, affects others. 

Isolation just doesn’t, work anymore. 

Critical that see, “Bigger Picture”. 

What “they do”, affects us. 

Can’t we all, be “nice”. 

Or too much, to ask (?)

Let’s give it, a try. 

Set an example, once again. 

Okay stand tall, and strong. 

Not at expense, of morality. 

If set parameters, follow them. 

Otherwise to “judge”, is hypocritical. 

Remember when young, hearing this...

“You do as, I say!” 

Remember when young, then thinking...

“Certainly not as, you do!”

Did not say, out loud. 

Fear of repercussions, for sure. 

Some of us, spoke up. 

The terrible spanking, did get. 

Became “Obedient child”, lost independence. 

Now it’s time, do again. 

Others think same, with you. 

Point out discrepancies, insist better. 

Our democracy designed, to protect. 

Now the time, implement it !!!
