THE FRENCH BAKER'S WAR,
anguish intensified.

To understand let alone,
to know?

To draw the line,
not cross?

How can this be,
it happened?!

Do not take life,
for granted.

Before someone comes along,
snatches away.

Pick up this book,
step in.

Taken back in time,
to experience.

To explore situation from,
many angles.

To right a wrong,
nearly impossible.

Seen from all sides,
choices made.

Without truly understanding all,
the consequences.

When thrown in kettle,
to experience.

Then spit viciously out,
completely changed.

Can normalcy ever again,
be obtained?

Don't pretend didn't occur,
remnant remains.

Caught in the trap,
break loose.

For us to hold,
and taste.

Bitter is the truth,
of yesterday.

A recipe never again,
to create.

That's how to have,
better future.

Thankful this book chose,
to read.
