a tale most harsh.

The horrors of war,
most want to ignore.

So hard to imagine,
for most of us.

Brought before our eyes;
in most relatable way.

Two sisters fate separates,
from parents and brothers.

Then from each other,
as time slips away.

All that they experienced,
served to us repeatedly.

The harshness of life,
becomes unbearable and reflective.

Page by page partake,
tasting the bitterness within.

May never happen again,
is our heart's desire.

To learn from this,
so doesn't haunt us.

To cut at roots,
so does not prosper.

Especially in these times,
as we are experiencing.

Let genuine love reign,
and pass it on.

That hatred not takeover,
to destroy and maim.
