RACIST words and acts, so long suppressed. 

Now out in open, put to test. 

Will democracy of equals, laid to rest?

Taken over and squashed, to be lost?

Declaration “We the People”, no longer stands. 

Our leader about “Me”, in his hands. 

Optimism turns into depression, revisits the sixties. 

Time to stand up, learn from history. 

No one promised fair, instead what’s just. 

Life not about winning, or capitalistic lust. 

At expense of humanity, profit not meant. 

Too many rules ignored, or purposely bent.

Nation built from diversity, of alternative perspectives. 

Many branches of government, the people’s representatives. 

Working for best solution, bipartisan in nature. 

To purposely obstruct road, destroys democracy’s future. 

Differences seen as bad, turns to genocide. 

The collapse of compassion, exaltation of pride. 

When seen as empire, time will overshadow. 
Leads to it’s demise, and ultimate takeover. 

This is a warning, please take note. 

Important all step up, register to vote. 

Time to be united, one for all. 

See differences as positive, so don’t fall. 

Living moment by moment, day to day. 

Just gets us by, not the way. 

Must see Big Picture, otherwise just fools. 

Then fighting everywhere continues, mental illness rules.
